Matt Potter Joins The Reds

AFC Liverpool are delighted to announce Matt Potter as their new assistant manager.

First Team Manager Chris Anderson made the appointment, and Matt will link up with the rest of the coaching staff for the coming campaign.

Matt has worked for six years at the FA. He delivers FA Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses and also Futsal level 1.  He has completed the course for the UEFA A Licence and has a degree in coaching (BSc hons Coaching for Performance).

Matt has previously spent a few years in the Evo-Stik League coaching the first teams at Prescot Cables and Burscough. He has previously managed Maghull in the West Cheshire League, and worked as a scout for Marine FC. Last season he managed  Billinge FC in the Cheshire Premier League, and he currently is a teacher and head coach for Rochdale in their EDS college programme.

Chris said “I am delighted to bring Matt in to the AFC family. He definitely fits the mould of what I was looking for in an Assistant Manager. His philosophy matches mine and that of the club. He has great experience when it comes to coaching,  and I am really looking forward to working with Matt and the rest of the management staff.”

“In addition, Dave Innelli will continue his fantastic work with our goalkeepers for yet another season. Dave continues to demonstrate his dedication to our club and we are all delighted to have him instill in our players the pride in the shirt that comes with being at AFC Liverpool.”

“Kathy Huyton will come in to her third season as the club physio. Everyone knows what a great job Kathy does for the players, and for the club as well, and to have her commit to us once again is quality, as I know there have been offers from other clubs.”
