AFC Liverpool Reserves 4-1 Waterloo GSOB

AFC Liverpool reserves started their league campaign with a convincingĀ 4-1 win over Waterloo Grammar School Old Boys.

The first half was extremely open and played at a high tempo with chances for both sides however The Reds proved more clinical taking their chances and took a 2-0 lead into half time with goals from Harry Avis and Anthony Lyons.

AFC reserves started the second half fast as Harry Avis claimed his second goal after a great dribble and driven shot into the roof of the net. Avis capped off a brilliant hat-trick 20 minutes from the end with a well taken finish.

A late consolation goal from Waterloo GSOB denied The Reds a clean sheet but the young side ran out comfortable 4-1 winners and ensured a strong start to the Liverpool County Premier League season.
