Youth & Ladies Weekend Round Up

96 HomeThe Under 17’s got off to winning start in the Craven Minor League in a rather high scoring game against Birkdale as they ran out 7-5 winners and though it’s very early in the season, they do top the table.

The Under 18’s that compete in the Dundee Youth Division of the Wallasey and District Sunday League have been action for over a month now and played their fifth game of the season at the weekend. So far they’re unbeaten with Sunday’s 3-3 draw against Upton Town the first time they’ve dropped points this season. Previously they’ve enjoyed victories against Heswall Youth (3-0), Neston Nomads (8-2), Upton Youth (7-1) and Higher Beb (8-2). Consequently, the lads sit second in the table, three points behind Victoria Colts having played two games less.

In the Liverpool County Premier League Under 18’s Division, played their second match of the season on Saturday which ended 2-2 away to BRNESC. The previous week the lads got off to a winning start by beating Belfry Youth 3-0.

In the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South, AFC Liverpool Ladies also got their campaign off to a positive start with a 2-1 win away to AFC Urmston Meadowside with Aimee O’Keefe and Antonia Goudie getting the all important goals.
