Youth & Ladies Weekend Round Up

Away ShirtIn the Walton & Kirkdale JFL, the Under 8’s lost 1-7 to NSC.

Goals from Nial, Danny, Elliot and Luke sent the Sunday Under 15’s to the top of the Merseyside & Halewood  JFL after they beat Woolton Olympic.

Also sitting pretty at the top of the table are the Under 16’s who opened up an eight point gap in the Craven Minor JFL thanks to a 9-0 win against Redgate Rovers.

In the Wallasey & District JFL Grove Youth Division, the Under 17’s returned to winning ways with a 6-1 win away to Gayton. The result cements their place in fourth spot and keeps them four points off the leaders.

After winning the competition last season, the Sunday Under 21’s exited the Bill Hannon Sunday Youth Cup in the first round after a 2-3 defeat to Kingsthorne.

AFC Liverpool Ladies were also in cup action and they progressed to the second round of the North West Women’s Regional League Cup thanks to 2-1 extra time win against Stockport County Reserves. Antonia grabbed the winning goal five minutes into the extra period.
